Dear Total Balance Company Family,
Here we are already into May, and how our world has changed even since the last Newsletter. Time seems to tick so slowly and yet EVERY day is one day closer to the end of this restriction. One day closer to getting back out and LIVING the times and things we love to do – that sometimes we ignore because it is available and we procrastinate, but is now burning in our soul to do again. I know my own mother, when I talk to her on the phone, is craving seeing her children and grandchildren and just having the chance to hold and hug them again. I think as we grow more mature the simple things in life mean the most. What we do is only as good as who we share them with. Freedom to DO.
The danger is not just the emotional “depression” isolation and quarantine can bring – but the fact that not using muscles and mobility that we take for granted every day is causing atrophy we won’t truly know until we get up and go. Stamina to go as far as we used to, and the strength in movement to trust the journey. I know the 60uP can help. I have a goal.
When the word comes out to open that front door – to walk down those stairs and into the fresh, summer blue outside fresh air, and the greenery smelling so good with the flowers blooming, I want you to be able to run, bend to smell the roses, look up and feel the cool breeze blowing through your hair, take in the sense of freedom with the land around you, and pick up, hug and hold close those you cherish and can’t wait to see. You can do it.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. Do the preparation now and the first step will bring rewards you would miss out on. Not doing the work will lessen the chance of success and being ready will lighten each step mentally as well as physically.
So my challenge to you – knowing you are greater than even you realize – picture your first destination – that first hug – that day coming closer where you are free to go out – and be ready to celebrate that moment like it is your first, most beautiful memory. YOU CAN DO IT!

Steve has been a huge inspiration to us at 60uP. Anyone purchasing the board will have a question as to the validity of the product. Well Steve blew us away with not only his own progress, but how he has helped others get the board, have their own results, and educated others on the power and truth behind the 60uP. Steve is a powerhouse at facing problems and overcoming them. When faced with adversity with his balance, he grabbed the poles with both hands and took back his life – refusing to give in to what others may blame as natural aging process. Steve’s passion to be his best, reverse the decline and come back stronger is something everyone has the ability to be in character, and we are proud to have him an invaluable part of the 60uP family. Being a family member since the first-generation board, we are proud to make you, Steve, our Hero of the week and also know you have been a hero for us since day 1. Stay strong, stay focused and stay leading the way.

TIP of the NEWSLETTER
Exaggerate the movements of the exercises and adapt them for your specific needs. For example, when tapping the board in the very first exercise, warming up, lift the leg higher than needed and bring it down onto the board with a soft tap. This will help your mobility and strength to take on greater challenges off the board. Be powerful and trust your body.
I spoke to John R today on the phone. His wife was saying he doesn’t lift his right leg so well and doesn’t heel to toe when walking. So we went over some possibilities and John will now work on the toe tap on the board by doing heel taps first and then toe, or when stepping onto the board he will step heel first and then “roll” onto his toe to get his body back used to walking smoothly. Adapt your exercise and improve what you need to do to get EVERYTHING YOU need from 60uP. Happy to have talked to you John and wishing you the very best.
